Adoption Day

Blacky (Black Jack) and Chelsea have been chosen to join a very select herd at The Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, NY.  The Double H Ranch, a Hole in the Wall Camp, was co-founded by Charles R. Wood and Paul Newman with the mission "to provide specialized camping and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses."  Blacky and Chelsea will be members of the "Happy Barn" and provide trail rides for the visiting children.

Dear Nina,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    February 28, 2009    Hi, it’s Sally from Double H Ranch… Black Jack and Chelsea are doing great!!!!!!!!!! Kim and I have been working and loving on them daily... Black Jack is awesome. I worked with him on giving to pressure yesterday with a lead rope and halter and he is so responsive. Chelsea will basically do anything you ask her to do. You did an absolutely awesome job on both of them!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can tell!!!!    They are pastured still with our older gentlemen and they all are doing well, finding their spot in the "ranks"... you do an amazing job with these animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
